Issue with time at midnight in standby mode

I use the Wiim Sound as a clock in my room. When it reaches midnight, the time shows 00:00, rather than 12:00. I am using the digital clock display in standby mode. Switching to 24-hour clock does not make a difference. Has anyone else seen this issue?

Hi
I always thought that was normal, but is it not?

I have just checked, and it doesn’t have an AM / PM indicator, so Midnight will have to be shown as 00:00 if it had the indicator it should be shown as 12:00 AM.

without the indicator, if the time was showing between 12:00 and 12:59 in a dark room, you couldn’t be certain if it was day or night. 🤔

If it doesn't have an AM/PM indication then the same applies for any time. How do you know if 07:00 is morning or evening

Fair point, but this was referring to whether midnight should display as 12:00 or 00:00, and before someone points it out I know that the Sound display doesn’t have the colon separator.

Train timetables must be a nightmare 🤣
I can’t afford to travel by train anymore, but when I was much younger I used to travel quite a lot, and used to buy the full British Rail timetable, and plan journeys and times, well before mobile phones or internet.🤔

I remember using the university library copy of the British Rail timetable to plan journeys home. I don't think I ever bought my own copy.

It goes from 11:59 PM to 12:00 AM, and 11:59 AM to 12:00 PM.
And this is what should be confusing everyone. :D

AM = Ante Meridiem = before midday
PM = Post Meridiem = after midday

Well, most obviously Midnight is exactly 12 hours before midday and 12 hours after midday. :P

As per 2025-12-30 I declare this problem solved by simply using the 24 hour format (deliberately ignoring the fact that despite its name the clock face will never show a time of 24:00, because this is 00:00 :ROFLMAO: ).

Unless we decide to never travel after midday. So many brilliant solutions ... :P
Yes, I always used to make my outward journey fairly early in the morning, it was just the return journey that you had to be careful with the time, and I think I sometimes set my digital watch to 24 hour railway mode.🤔
