I asked in another forum for suggestion for the ultimate free music to stream

Lossless

One suggested https://www.hiresaudio.online/cd-quality-internet-radio/

Problem is you have to manually search for stations on the app, you tried on you pc and wanted to include as a favorite or to a preset, to see if it's there

I would very much appriciate if there was an option where you can search thru stations that are lossless, basically cd quality

Why settle with mp 3 quality, less than youtube or even less than cd quality when you can have cd quality ?

I don’t think the radio aggregator services (Tunein, vTuner) in the WiiM app offer any hi res lossless stations, so you would need to rely on sources like you quote and use “open network stream” in WiiM app to play them.

VTuner can't be using that link then. You can add it in "Open Network Stream".
Yeah, as I mentioned above I haven’t seen any lossless stations on vTuner and always use Open Network Stream if I want to play lossless radio stations, outside Lyrion and Radio Paradise of course…

This looks like a good repository of hi res radio, but if I download the playlist and try and import it under Open Network Stream, it crashes the WiiM app - maybe it’s too large. I’ve raised a ticket anyway.

Mine imported it successfully. I now have 181 streams listed. They aren't all FLAC though.

Bitrate isn’t all that meaningful when you’re talking about lossless flac anyway - it’s not a measure of quality just an indication of how losslessly compressed the stream is before it’s decompressed to full fat pcm for playback.

When it say 1000kbps i assume it's not lossless when it's 1/3 or 1/4 of the bitrate, atm naim jazz is in 264 kbps 24 bit and 44.1khz

I can't install the playlist, it failed, i can't even open it så i can choose one or the other playlist

Mabye make it different, more easy to install a list with lossless radio stations (or make a category like lossless or high quality stream or what ever match the description best) for those who don't wanna pay for tidal, spotify, qobuz, apple music or anything else but love streaming music in cd quality, then they can find there own personally favorite and use how ever they like

Just find the genre you prefer atm to listen to (amongst your favorite or preset) and enjoy music in cd quality, without changing cd,lp every 30-45 min or having to limit yourself to mp3 on youtube and buffing all the times when a new song start when you don't have youtube premium

1000kbps is lossless FLAC. The stream you are playing is not.
If you can't import the playlist are you also on iOS?

Android

Atm naim jazz say 16 bit and 44.lkhz when i used the link on the naim site

radio paradise shows played time, remaining time of the song, cover of the song or album it's from, album titel, song and artist, naim jazz doesn't do that, others might do it, it's just very nice to have that

And it show bit rate and sample rate atm JJ Cale Call Me The Breeze 857kbps/16 bit and 44.1khz

BUT they don have any jazz, radio channel, no electronic music or dance music or mabye im luck to find one from the 80's when i was young (yes the 80's is a long time ago) i wanna listen to that can be more interesting to listen to then playlist on tidal

Radio paradise is as good as it get's when you want free lossless streaming that works with a wiim ultra (if it's as easy to use on other streamers i don't know), it just don't have all the genres i like but for 95% of the time it's good and lossless

How did you save that playlist? When I tried to save it it made a file name Radio Stations.m3u but when I imported it nothing happened. I’m on iOS.
As I said above, on my iPad importing that playlist causes the app to crash, while on my Android phone it loads ok. I’ve already submitted a ticket, you may want to do the same.
