Music from my pc not showing 24 bit

It does it at my end to streaming from my pc

windows 11 set to 24 bit and 192khz but shows 16 bit 192khz

Thread is 9 month old, why hasn't it been fixed ?

When using tidal connect on my phone, not just the app on my pc and then to the wiim ultra, its 24 bit

Sounds like the issue is with Realtek drivers. WiiM can't fix that.

I'm not getting 24 bit on the Plex integration either... Original file is 24 bit but WiiM is playing 16. It plays the correct sample rate. It is happening on all files.

When i think about i do all kinds of thing with my pc mabye twitch and tidal, mabye it does only 16 bit

Exclusive mode don't make a difference, still 16bit

Now comes the interesting thing 24 bit is 1673 kbps but 16 bit from my pc is 16 bit and 48khz and 6144kbps

when turning down the music bit rates drops, that's why 24 bit is better than 16 bit

16 bit max 96 db, 24 bit is 144 db

What device is that on? The Ultra firmware had a bug that’s only just fixed ( FLAC playing as mp3) but that’s not rolled out yet to other devices as far as I’m aware.

Have you updated the app to v3.4.12 today? I recall it had a fix in the same area

There might be a metadata issue... but the 24-bit version is still working...
