My Amp Ultra blew up

So sunday at 0930, whilst performing background level tasks, my newly aquired WAU passed away. Some of its intestines apparently exploded, causing a high audible electrical bang. Blew the mains circuit breaker. My norwegain retailer have no Wiim service partner so the unit will be replaced with a new one.
By nature, I always want to know the cause, not the fix. I find the external temperature of the apparathus to be concerning. Was the Ultra cabinet designed for the power and heat of a 200W amplifier/powersupply?

While the outer dimensions are almost identical, the case itself is different and the internal structure and in particular the heat sink and heat pipe are unique to the WiiM Amp Ultra. The design is certainly adequate as long as no components fail.

Hey @Haknuts, I'm glad the Norwegian retailer is swapping it out. We'd love to get the one that went bad on you back to our lab to see what happened in the first place. Are they collecting it from you or did they just say to keep it?

They (Power) just said they could not offer repair but would test it before swapping. If they keep it in the shop I will forward your request.
