Newbie to Wiim needing purchase suggestions

Hello everyone, as the title mentioned, I’m new to Wiim and needing some guidance. My home came with 5 passive speakers in the living room ceiling and 2 in the outdoor kitchen. All 7 speaker wires terminate in the living room near the tv. I can easily connect the living room tv to a receiver via HDMI. The outdoor kitchen tv is where my problem lies. I have no feasible way to run a hdmi from the outdoor tv to a receiver inside but I’d like to be able to play the tv audio through the 2 outdoor ceiling speakers for sports and movies. Speaking to several people trying to figure out a solution is what brought me to Wiim. One solution that was proposed was to hook up a basic 2 zone receiver to all 7 speakers with the two outside speakers as zone 2. Then connect a WIIM streamer to zone 2 of the AVR to wirelessly stream TV audio from the outdoor tv via the Wiim through the AVR to the 2 outdoor speakers. My question is this, can I wirelessly connect directly from the outdoor TV to the wiim or do I need to purchase a second Wiim device to hook to the outdoor TV as well? Also, should I run into lip sync issues going this route? Appreciate the help and I’m open to any other suggestions that may work better.

Place the WiiM Amp next to the AVR and connect the 2 speakers to the Amp. Connect the Optical-Out of the outdoor TV to the WiiM Pro; if you create a multi-room group with the Amp and Pro, the TV audio will be output from the 2 speakers through the Amp. Yes, 2 WiiMs are required.

The minimum audio delay during multi-room playback is 70 ms.

Thanks for the reply! I was going to run the outdoor speakers through zone 2 of the AVR so I could also play the same music through all 7 speakers as well as separate for the outdoor TV.
Forgive the basic question, but I’m assuming 70ms is too much of a delay for watching sports or movies?

When connecting the WiiM to Zone 2 of the AVR, there is an audio delay. Probably around 50 ms. If you can set the distance of the Zone 2 speaker in the AVR speaker settings, this delay could be eliminated by setting a longer distance.

However, in your case you could try a wireless HDMI transmitter first.

The 70 ms audio delay is hardly noticeable if you are not playing games - please try watching this video with Bluetooth headphones or similar to see how much the delay affects you.

There are of course many possible ways to do this. Unfortunately I have never used Sonos so I don't know.

One way is to connect a low latency HDMI transmitter (maybe around 80ms) to the TV, send audio to the AVR. And connect the WiiM to the analog digital input of the AVR. Then connect 7 speakers to the AVR.

In this case you will not have audio sync issues, at least when listening to music. Also, the AVR can control almost everything.

I own a Yamaha AVR and would consider connecting it to an outdoor TV with an optical HDMI cable if lip-sync is a priority.

But in your case, that doesn't seem possible, so the next thing to consider is a wireless HDMI transmitter. (I might buy one from Amazon and return it if the latency is more than the specs suggest..)

I would try the WiiM pro and wireless HDMI transmitter combination first, and if not good, I would probably replace the transmitter with a WiiM Amp and try a multiroom gloup.
