That's for playing to UPnP renderers from LMS, isn't it?

That's not WiiM search results.
WiiM fully supports LMS in the same way that it fully supports Roon i.e. using the LMS or Roon interface to control and not the WiiM Home App.
LMS has an ancient UPnP/DLNA Media Interface plugin that is not supported by WiiM although it does work to an extent.

Because not using Wiim at all. LMS is just better.
I can see my minim server on the NAS, and Media monkey on the PC, but I don't use that it's just additional methods, LMS on the pi is primary server.
If I click advanced search I can type kylie, then in track spinning around and it'll show every instance of that artist and track from all albums, singles etc

Still a bit naff. No artist art, no album downloading art, no artist info, when I go into artist I then have to select another icon to start browsing albums. Not seperated into albums, singles, ep (although I believe this can be done, via the paid version)
Also minim full isn't free, it's a subscription service, not say £30 one off. NAH not having that.
LMS is just better in everyway.
I'm realizing from some of the screenshots that posters have been kind enough to include, that maybe what I'm chasing down isn't clear, so here are some screenshots of the same set of results in the WiiM Home App:

Use the LMS Material interface instead. It is superb.
That may or may not be the case, but I'm answering the question!
It is clear. Most LMS users will answer any question with 'Use LMS/Material' unfortunately.

You are searching in LMS not in the WiiM Home app.
Wiim home app is basic, functional and gets you started, I'd use it for straight playing from a plugged in USB stick etc, anything more than that- nah.
Brother was very impressed with LMS with short go on the pi, he's got a Ultra as well.

I have just installed the Media Interface plugin in LMS and see exactly the same behaviour. I see a long list of search results for tracks but nothing for artists or albums. I also tried BubbleUPnP and see similar results although the search results are split into two with track titles containing the search term in one list and tracks by artists containing the search term in the other.
There is a reason for that. It works.
WiiM Home App on its own with any DLNA/UPnP server is absolute rubbish and without BubbleUPnP is almost unusable - but you know that!
