The wiim itself is the preamp, surely, not the app as such.

Do you mean "autogain" adapting it to positive corrections?
(expected since.... 2022 and the arrival of eq mode...)
wiim clumsily (and discreetly) got around the situation by using a strong drc...
but you can use manuelly the pregain mode....as a way around the subject...
