No sound from Wiim Sound via Wiim Mini

I'm a complete novice at this. My set up is simple:
Pure classic stereo
Wiim mini connected via aux out as per the user guide
Wiim Sound in a separate room

My issue is that the Wiim Sound appears to be playing (the screen shows connected and the wiim home app shows music playing)
But there is no sound coming from the Wiim Sound.

Yes I've got the volume turned up!

Any ideas please? It's so frustrating.

What is the WiiM Mini aux out connected to? If you have linked the two devices by first selecting the Mini in the app and then the Sound, the Sound's audio input should be left on wifi as that's what's used when it's a secondary device in a group.

Hi

What source is being played via the Mini's line-in?

After unplugging the WiiM Sound's power cable and rebooting it, please try linking the WiiM Sound to the Mini once more.

As @QuarryHunslet mentioned, please tell us which device is connected to the Mini and how it is connected. The cable connection or input/output mode may be incorrect.

Are you trying to play music from your Pure Stereo, and have you connected aux out on the Pure to the aux in on the WiiM Mini, and the Mini grouped with the WiiM Sound?
Yes, we are trying to play a cd from the Pure Stereo.
There are two aux ports on the Pure, labelled L and R. I have the red end plugged into the R and the yellow end in the L. The other end is plugged into the Aux In on the mini.
The mini is grouped with the Sound.
The mini is the lead device.

Is sound coming from the Mini?
Or is nothing connected to the Mini's output?

Please play a Wi-Fi source such as TuneIn on the Mini and check whether sound is coming from the WiiM Sound.

The screenshot would suggest the WiiM sound’s audio input is incorrectly set to line-in when it should be WiFi.

I don't think that's the case.🙂

WiiM Sound is linked as a follower, and "Line-in" displays the Mini's input.

Linked follower devices automatically switch to Wi-Fi input.

I have just looked at a quick start guide for the Pure, and I don’t think that it has an auxiliary output, but it does have inputs.

Can you confirm that it does indeed have an auxiliary output?

I can't see a aux output... but the shop we bought it from did a demo using the Pure and the wiim mini and wiim sound.
I'll phone and ask how they did it.
I'll get back to you and let you know.

Some progress made.
The Wiim Sound is playing with a WiFi source (TuneIn)
Now to get the CD playing :)
I linked my Mini and WSound, connecting the television's headphone output to the Mini's AUX-in for testing.

In this two-device setup, the audio may cut out, turn to noise, or fail to play altogether.

If there are no issues with your Mini's connection to the CD player, please reboot both the Mini and WSound and try again.

Could you tell us which model it is?

If it has a headphone output, please try connecting it to the Mini's AUX-in.

Tried that thanks. No sound at all. I'm waiting to hear back from the shop we bought it from.
