Hey y'all, I just got a USB to Toslink and I've used the provided Toslink cable from the Wiim amp, but there's absolutely no sound coming out.
- I've made sure all the sources have audio playing

- made sure the format is 24bit 192 khz

- no dolby or dts by unchecking "Allow applications to take exclusive control of this device."

- pressed play on the app

I've only used the amp by using spotify connect. I am trying to get a connection to my PC, and USB to toslink was my choice.

I had the SMSL PO100, but that didn't work so now I am trying a Cubilux one. Not sure if it is now the Amp having issues. :(

Hi there,

Please send us a feedback ticket from the WiiM Home App so we can troubleshoot it. Please choose the optical as your source input on the WiiM Amp. Thank you for your patience!

Do you see USB as an output device in the WiiM Home app?

Are you sure the converter and the PC actually both support 24 bit 192 kHz?

I read it as though the OP is trying to go from USB output on PC via USB to Toslink adaptor, then optical cable to WiiM Amp optical input.
The OP mentions a Cubilux device, possibly similar to those I own, but they are directional, which is why I asked in post #3
Which device have you got? Is it a transmitter, or receiver?
In the use case that I mention above, a transmitter would be required, i.e. USB In to SPDIF Out. If the OP has the receiver version, there would be no sound output.

That's the question, indeed. I read this ...

... as an indication of direction, but maybe not so.

We need more information about what's the desired use case here.

Yes, more information is definitely required. The OP hasn't been seen on the forum since 5 minutes after posting.

I had the SMSL PO100, but i returned it because I thought it was defective. So I got the one above. I believe it should be USB-in and Optical-out.

Sorry for the late response, did not know y'all were active like that.

I'm trying to use optical in the wiim, but I have successfully used a flash drive for it.

It says it supports 24/192 on the amazon page, but those do lie sometimes, but I'm pretty sure my PC supports it.

Likewise, sorry for the late response, did not know y'all were active like that.

I have looked at that device, and it should be suitable for sending audio from USB on your PC to Optical Input on your WiiM Amp.

That's good to know at least, I did open a ticket so I hope they'll be able to help me figure it out.
Is the PC set to output PCM sound, and have you selected the optical input on the WiiM Amp in the WiiM Home App?

It is set to optical input on the wiim app, I believe I have the PC set to output PCM as well, I disabled dolby and dts (what I gathered from my googling). If there’s a better way please do let me know 🙏
