Noise from speakers when Amp enters standby

This is a strange one which I hadn't come across before. Two minutes after my WiiM Amp entered standby I heard a low frequency noise from my speakers. I had my laptop on my knee at the time and when I moved the laptop to one side to investigate, the noise seemed to disappear. I then moved the charging laptop closer to the Amp and the noise became louder. The noise stopped when I unplugged the charger.

Thanks for sharing this!

While I have never been financially able to adopt the attitude of "just good enough" is not good enough, I wonder if this is not an argument for XLR cables?

Probably not for WiiM devices, and most of their users, as they would increase the cost, and remain unused in the vast majority of cases.

More to the point this issue is totally unrelated to any type of interconnecting cables. I am sure I read a post where someone else complained about the same thing but of course I can't find it now 🙂
