I have set up WiiM Pro Plus & connected the Optical Out using the TOSLINK optical cable to Optical In of Ruark Audio R410. When I set the Optical Out to 192 khz 24 bits, I cannot hear the test signal. I have confirmed with Ruark Audio that R410 does support 192 khz 24 bits. Pls let me know how to address the problem. If I set the Optical Out to 96 khz 24 bits, I can hear the test signal from R410. I reset the WiiM Pro Plus & configured it again, but the problem is not solved

Welcome.

Three thoughts:

What cable are you using, the one that came with the wiim? Some have had issues with 192khz using 'exotic' cables whereas the wiim ones seem to work.
Is the cable tightly bent?
Is it fully seated / inserted at both ends?

Do your optical cable support 192kHz SPDIF? Not all cables do. The cable that is included with the WiiM do however support it, so if you're using that it's probably the R410 that is not supporting it?

I am using the optical cable supplied by WiiM. The cable is not bent at all. I can hear audio at 96 khz 24 bits, so optical cable connection should not be an issue. It is only when it is set to 192 khz 24 bits, then the problem starts.

Did you set it to fixed 192 kHz in the WiiM?

Is it a special test signal or is it all sources (music)?

Anyway, you will not be able to hear the difference between 96 and 192 kHz. The 192 kHz sampling is mostly for recording and mixing purposes.

The only times I've had issues with 192 (while 96 still worked) was tight bends / not fully connected, which is why I suggested them!

Still, how to progress?
Do you have any other equipment you can test each part with?
e.g. another optical cable? wiim to a different dac / amp? Another streamer into the Ruark?
I know these don't directly address your issue, but it might help find the problem.

Not something you want to hear of course, but you could leave the wiim set at 96khz max. 😥

Yes I did set it to 192 khz 24 bits in the audio settings of optical out in WiiM. The lack of audio output is across the board - test signal as well as playback from Tidal or Qobuz.

So your receiver doesn't like the WiiM cable. You can try with another ones or ignore it and use 96 kHz.
