Now about a Deluxe Remote?

There have been many complaints that the touchscreen is too small to see from the couch. I agree.
How about putting it on a remote?

I loved my Harmony remote--before so many of my gadgets went Bluetooth.
A deluxe remote with full-function touchscreen would answer many of these issues.

It could be simple and control only the WiiM streamers.
Or dive head-first into a new market and create a universal remote with the best features found in the WHA + Harmony and Sofa Baton remotes.
With WiiMs attention to customer needs they'd do this RIGHT.

Add a "do not put phone to sleep" option to the WiiM app, and add a remote screen mode, and I think you have what you call a "deluxe remote".

I just don't want to have the phone in the same room when I'm listening to music.

Plus an ulterior motive: I would like to be able to screencast the What's Playing view to my TV. I do that now with my phone but it often disconnects because I'm switching apps all the time.
It would be stellar if the remote would also support screen casting.
