Old system, new ultra

Hi all. Looking to upgrade my old system and try to get it to work a bit more for me. See diagram below. I’m looking to maybe get existing speakers (plus possibly a new subwoofer) and use it as the main tv output eventually. In the meantime I can probably use the soundbar. If I do this, will the hdmi control all sound output from
The tv.
If I upgrade to a stand alone powered subwoofer plugged into the sub out connection on the ultra, will that work with speakers going through the rca output of the amp?

It will work, but only if you use the volume control on the WiiM Ultra (which will also control the sub out volume). The volume on the PM6003 must be kept fixed, once the level balance between sub and mains has been set up.

What @harkpabst writes also implies that the CD 6003 should be connected to the Ultra Line In. The PM 6003 will function as the main speakers power amplifier.

Thanks. Makes sense and probably the better option for for the ultra to control all volume including the TV - presumably it will do that via ARC using the tv remote? Hadn’t thought about the CD but suppose that can go via coax/optical to the ultra and avoid me having to touch the amp at all.

The volume control is via CEC and work on all HDMI connections. On the WiiM it will only work when TV is selected as input.

Get a RSL sub they’re only sold online direct. Best subs out there. I have a RSL 10s mk2 sub with my Wharfdale Denton bookshelf speakers. Sounds amazing.
