Apologies if this has been covered, I did a quick scan for whether this has come up before and didn't immediately see anything.

I have to close and then re-open the app all the time. It used to occur every now and then but this year it seems an ongoing and increasing problem.

1. Newly open and it searches and find my devices, all good.

2. 9 times out of 10 when coming back to the app I just get a black page and need to close it down to get access back to anything.

Anyone else with this issue? It never used to happen and then slowly crept in to where it is now almost ubiquitious.

Thanks for looking.

Hi , could you go to settings on your phone, then apps then wiim home app. Then select battery in the menu and check that the unrestricted setting is selected
Cheers

No, actually. This is most likely caused by some particular phone setting, but might be hard to track.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the app might or might not help. Or just start by deleting the cache, maybe all stored data. You will loose those settings that are not stored on the device itself ...

Thanks.

I had deleted and reinstalled the app, but not all stored data so I suppose that's the next step.

Unlikely. Uninstalling the app should also delete all the locally stored data.

Even if you turned off battery optimisations for the WHA there could be other things like not allowing the app to run in the background. Some Android based OSes have a feature where you can disable all background activity for all apps after a given period of time. Not sure if this applies to Samsung, but if so, this might hurt some apps.more than others.
