Options for controlling LMS

That is better!

Now before we go fixing the IP address on the Ethernet can you please test that your phone can see Material at http://192.168.1.125:9000/material and that it can control and play music via the WiiM

I can see Material Skin on my phone, it can control the music, but the music counter only goes to 1 second before resetting to 0 seconds

There is a warning triangle on the address bar, which states that the URL is insecure. See attached photo.

I should have added that the warning triangle is nothing to worry about but the failure to play is

I think you will find that all 3 URLs will do the same.

What is this telling us?
LMS is running correctly on your PC but as music isn't playing it is one of two things.
1. The music on your PC has moved since LMS last scanned for content i.e. it can read the database but cannot play because the music file is no longer where it thinks it is or perhaps doesn't have the correct access. Usually you see a "file not found" error message.
2. LMS cannot connect to the WiiM properly.

Can you please temporarily turn off your Windows firewall and retry all 3 URLs on your PC

NOTE
If you have this forum open on your PC you can actually click on these links above and they should load

Thanks, sorry to be such a pain. All three links work and take me to material. I have temporarily turned off the firewall but in each case the sound bar alternates between 0 and 1 second.

I am currently rescanning my music, but I don't think this will help because I haven't added anything to my library for over a year.

Ill try again when the library has rescanned and let you know what happens.

You are not being a pain

Would I be correct in assuming that the WiiM Pro is connected by WiFi?

He's told him offline to install MinimServer to see if that works ;)
It is a combination of problems but the networking one is resolved. I’m going to speak with Alan in a traditional way but I doubt it will involve installing MinimServer.
