Play multiple CD's with one action

I have a huge music library with a lot of directories, subdirectories, albums en several cd's within 1 album.

Due the the fact the collection is so huge, a simple tagging option is not possible. Therefore I always use the folder view to browse to the music I want and like to listen.

For example of a tree

Music
Classical
Albums
Warner Classics
Allen Toussaint The Complete Warner Recordings
cd01
cd02

Within the Allen Toussaint ....... folder there is no play button, no advanced function or what ever to start PLAY.
I like to start at this point and than the software should begin with the first folder, than the second and so on.

Is this function available within WiiM Home?

This functionality is available with Lyrion - https://lyrion.org - but you would need to use one of the Lyrion GUIs rather than WiiM Home App.
All WiiM's (except Mini) support playback from Lyrion via Squeezelite - you just have to switch it on inside player Settings in WiiM Home App.



This may also be possible with other music server software in conjunction with a UPnP Control Point such as BubbleUPnP

Adding the ability to play containers (folders or albums) in DLNA/UPnP isn't trivial, so I don't see this happening anytime soon.

If you were to use MinimServer to index your collection then playing discs or albums is possible.

EDIT: If you purchase a MinimServer license you can also play categories too e.g. Artist, Genre, Style etc

I do use Bubble UPNP and I do know this is working.
But in my opinoin, this is basic functionality, so I think this should be as well within the Home app.

While this is not available, I will open a support ticket and ask for this function!

I am running Minimserver, for the moment without a licence. So I know it could be possible.
In the past I used BluOS, and there this was no problem at all. Also with the Lumin software this was not a problem. So I think it is implementation from WiiM.

I will check if LMS is "better" than Minim, but I have to figure out when I have time for that.

I am running Minimserver, for the moment without a licence. So I know it could be possible.

In folder view you can select ">> Tag View" and, eventually, get to the "<n> items" index from where you can play all the tracks from that container, but it's clumsy.

Also with the Lumin software this was not a problem. So I think it is implementation from WiiM.

The Lumin app is terrible, but it does allow you to enqueue from some containers.
It's absolutely possible for WiiM to implement this; I just think it's way down on a list that isn't being worked through.
