Playback from Alexa - garbled hi-speed audio

Playing Audible book from Alexa app. Speech is played at high speed.

Other Alexa streams are normal

Does it do that if you choose an echo device rather than your WiiM device?

No, works fine with other echos

Reboot the WiiM device under its settings in the WiiM Home app and see if that helps.

Do you happen to have a WiiM Remote linked to that WiiM Device? If so, use the remote's microphone to ask "Alexa, speak at your normal rate" - there is a speed setting in the Audible app, but I don't think that impacts Alexa/WiiM.

Don't have a remote.

If this happens with other Audible books as well, then I'm stumped as what to try next. You may need to submit a ticket to WiiM via feedback in the WiiM app and have them have a look at your device logs.

In the interim, you may need to use the Audible app and just Bluetooth its output to your WiiM

It happens with any audible book.

Getting non-Android access to Audible is a pain... If only somebody could create a squeezebox plugin....

In fact the only streamer which has Audible is Sonos.
