Playback in HD stutters but ULTRAHD plays ok

When playing HD tracks from Amazon Music, or also playing Radio the track stutters and jitters, however when playing ULTRAHD music the playback is fine. Im using a Wiim Pro, presently, got a Wiim ultra being delivered today so can compare if this is software or hardware issue.

Ok so if i go to Amazon app on Ipad and cast a track it still jutters, same as direct through the wiim app, but if i cast a track from Spotify its fine, im struggling to understand this, i would be looking at my network speed but as ULTRAHD plays fine which requires more data, then network speed does not add up, is it Amazon, anyone else using Amazon Music?

Did you try toggling the dns and ipv6 settings?

Further findings, BBC radio plays ok, Tuneln jutters and so also does Radio Paradise

I could imagine that the ultra high definition stream may use a bigger buffer or another buffering algorithm than the other streams. This may allow it to play correctly, while the standard streams is suffering from network issues (dropped packages or high jitter).

I’d submit a ticket to WiiM via the more/feedback section in the app so they can inspect your device logs for clues.

Update, I have submitted a ticket to WiiM , my new Ultra arrived yesterday and it plays everything fine, it’s on same network sat next to the pro plus, so it’s unfortunately likely to be the hardware itself, I’ll see what Wiim say
