Plex Endpoint Support / Plexamp Headless

I just had a little conversation with the Plex-Support, asking about the state of plex endpoint integration. As of their last roadmap Plex Endpoint/Plexamp Headless support is listed under "actively working on".
According to the support they are still evaluating it and are in fact not actively working on it. I really would like to see headless plexamp on the wiim ultra, because the current implementation is really flawed.
For example: Under artist pages there are only albums shown, no eps or live-albums or compilations.
Also preset-playlists only contain the first 500 tracks...
From my understanding it should be easier to implement a true plex endpoint, than trying to implement all the functions "manually" and bit by bit within the wiim home app.
I guess there are a few others that would like to see this feature, since also chromecast with plexamp is really in dire need of an update, since it doesnt even show track, or artist names not even talking about album art. But from my understanding that is something the Plex/Plexamp team would need to fix/implement.

All that aside, I am still really happy with the plex support so far, and all the improvements that have been made so far.
All the best to all of you,
Navid

Stuff that plexamp does natively guess lyrics, playlists and stuff, tbh WMH works fine for my needs just listening to music...
Thanks. Yeah, it works fine. As long as it is lossless and bitperfect on a path till wiim DAC it should be fine. Headless would be perfect of course

Ok, that's great. What is the difference between this implementation and headless plexamp then?
The search function will work better. It will show all albums by an artist and not just a selection. Switching libraries takes less clicks.

Plus any future improvements would not rely on Wiim finding the time and resources to implement them.

Anybody had this issue yet?

The same album in AIFF format won't show in the WiiM Home app, but plays just fine in Plexamp.

Not clear whether AIFF is a supported codec on WiiM Ultra
Seems they are:

Seems they are:
Like most people I don't have any AIFF to test with.
If files (any codec) don't play my general advice to people is to re-encode into FLAC (even if they are already FLAC) using something like dbPoweramp File Converter..

Yes other AIFF files will play just fine :) will submit a support ticket.
If some AIFF play Ok but others don't then it is the encoding.

Some things to try.
Re-encode from AIFF to AIFF (if that is possible with the tools you have). The act of re-encoding often fixes slightly broken files. It certainly works doing FLAC to FLAC.

If the source is FLAC you should run a verify pass first, as it may help you avoid the problem in future.
Bash:
flac --test filename

I have no idea if there's an equivalent for AIFF. Foobar does have a verifier, but I have no idea what it does for non-FLAC formats.

I have only ever had the problem twice from files purchased from HD Tracks IIRC.
dbPoweramp fixed with no issue.
