Plex integration doesn't direct play flacs?

I'm just wondering if someone could fill me in on how the Plex integration works.

I have an all FLAC music collection sitting on a Synology NAS that also runs Plex (manually installed via Package Center from an spk).

When I play anything from the Plex music service inside the WiiM Home app Plex will transcode to mp3. Checking the server logs I find...

DEBUG - [Req#268c9] [Now] Device is ([wiim] Living Room).

I'm not sure where the issue is. Is Plex picking up the Android profile because that's what the WiiM Ultra reports as, or is the app reporting my Android phone?

Either way, I also have no idea why Plex's Android profile wouldn't include flac as a supported codec? (I'm not sure where they're located on the Synology to check what the defaults are)

Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Already been reported as a bug in the latest Ultra firmware - the Ultra isn’t acknowledging it can support FLAC. Submit a ticket anyway to WiiM to let them know it needs to be addressed.

As a workaround, can you enable the upnp/dlna option in Plex and use that instead via the Home Music Share section in tne WiiM app?

Thank you both for the very quick replies. I tried searching but didn't find anything obvious and wasn't expecting to be looking within a changelog post! For all I knew it had always been this way and I just hadn't noticed.

This is exactly what I did as part of my investigations and I'm happy to rely on it until a fix appears. Thanks again.
