Presto Classical

Hi, we're in touch with them. No timeline yet, but we hope to get them integrated into the WiiM OS platform.
Integrated into the WiiM app, or similar to Spotify/Tidal Connect? Their app would be difficult to replicate…

I know they use OraStream, as do some others.

Well, I've managed to figure out how to communicate with their little streaming box, enough to get all the necessary metadata for my VU display. Still streaming it via the WiiM's optical input, though. Would be great to be able to use their superb app, with the WiiM as a target (similar to Tidal Connect / Spotify Connect).

Thanks, @QuarryHunslet . For those from the other thread who missed my update above, Presto told me on July 25 in an email: "We are currently working towards integrations [with the WiiM app] that we hope will be available in autumn."

Since autumn has come and gone, I've sent Presto an email asking for an update.

Hi, Presto on our list of integrations. We have some other integrations in the queue at the moment and we hope to get Presto integrated this year.

I am also interested in this integration; I'm actually waiting for it before buying a Wiim device

So until WiiM integrate this (if they do), what is the best way to listen to Presto via the WiiM - P10 Steamer > Optical > WiiM ?

For a different non-supported service, Classical Archives, I use an iPad and Airplay the output to WiiM. This limits the bit rate, but it's good enough for my ears and only requires equipment I already own. And sometimes I use Presto or Classical Archives to find an album and then stream it from Qobuz. Not sure if that's quite ethical.

Now they've integrated with Audirvana. Looks like they're very motivated to get their service on as many platforms as they can. Maybe WiiM is next...

We can only hope. It was supposed to happen last autumn, but the most specific target we get currently is "this year." I actually haven't been using my WiiM Pro Plus much lately, since Qobuz started to remove the ability to stream previously purchased downloads (not all, but a good number). Once Presto is added, I'll be using it more again.

What has Qobuz changed? I've noticed an error message when I try to play some of my purchased albums but I assumed it was a problem with my setup.

Late last year they started to drop streaming/downloading rights to downloads previously purchased. They sent out a general notice to that effect. Some people apparently got a subsequent email letting them know which albums were affected; I never received any such warning, so I initially thought my library was unaffected. But soon after, I lost access to about half of the albums I had purchased. Even more aggravating, many of those albums are still available on Qobuz -- they're just unavailable to those who purchased them previously. I'm no longer giving Qobuz my money.

Thanks, that solves the mystery! I'm sure they probably sent me revised terms at some point but I wouldn't have expected to lose the ability to play my purchases via the company that I bought them from. I must get around to trying Presto.

If you ever bought any discs from Presto, you'll probably be able to stream them once Presto is integrated into WiiM. From their website:
