Any thoughts on what upsample settings on Audirvana sound good ? I am not really hearing any difference between SoX and R8Brain.

I use Audirvana to stream to the WiiM Ultra over UPnP and do not really notice a significant difference between upsampling and fixed sampling. I have a portion of my music collection in DSD and I have Audirvana convert that to PCM before sending to the WiiM and even with that, changing sample rate didn't particularly have a huge effect.

Pretty sure you'll get a significantly greater, "return on investment," by fine-tuning speaker placement and after that doing proper room correction (remember, boys & girls--limit that room correction to 300Hz and down!) than you will any miniscule potential benefit from upsampling.

Ed thanks for your response, I’ll keep playing around with the SRC . My HiRez files w/o SRC sound amazing. Playing back over a very simple 3watt SET and non Xover speakers.

I would like to join in here with a question...
First of all: this field is still relatively new territory for me.
After purchasing the Wiim Pro Plus, I'm wondering to what extent I can/must adapt my configuration? The Wiim is connected to a Cambridge Audio Azur 851 amplifier, which in turn drives my old Mission 753 speakers.
I have an extensive audio collection on a Plex server and a Tidal account. Both can be played easily via the Wiim Home app integration. I have now come across the Audirvana programme. I don't think I've fully understood what advantages Audirvana would have over my current configuration?

It probably wouldn't have any advantage if you are happy with your current configuration.

It’s more of an, “audiophile,” thing. It would not provide a ton of benefit for many people. If you’re not shooting for that last (perceived) 0.5%, don’t bother.
