It looks like Masimo has been shopping all those audio brands they acquired, but there are no takers. The article infers that Masimo could simply discontinue the brands, which would mean taking a huge loss all at once rather than smaller losses year after year after year. No doubt the rise of competition like Topping, etc., and Linkplay as well, is affecting the viability of the great legacy brands. Everyone is aware of the Sonos mess. And tt was just announced that

What does this have to do with Qobuz Connect? Well, Qobuz earlier announced they were working closely with Masimo, partnering with perhaps the major brand aggregator on adding QC to their audio lines. Is the instability affecting this partnership and Masimo's ability to deliver?
What does this have to do with WiiM? Well, Linkplay stands to be a winner if a lot of legacy brands are deprecated, creating a vacuum in the market which the disruptors like WiiM will be only too happy to fill.
And the fact that WiiM and Qobuz began working together even earlier, by all reports, might mean that most of the WiiM products could support QC out of the gate, and be Qobuz's major streaming hardware partner. Assuming Qobuz is capable of delivering QC, of course.
