Qobuz Qobuz Club - Qobuz Connect Beta preview

Ahhh ... OK, I've not tried those and everything is relative (y)

What streaming service do you use and have you tried their App or are you just playing locally stored music?
Spotify (no WHA integration) and Tidal.

In fact, I mostly use the Tidal app, not the WHA integration. But the reason is mainly the ability to continue listening on non-WiiM devices (like AA in my car).

In the land of the blind the one eyed man is king 😃
True, but not related. ;)

Hi, if you’re a Qobuz user and a member of Qobuz Club, they’ve just put up a short video of their Connect beta in action, connecting from a PC to an iPad - guess they don’t want to reveal as yet which platforms they’re beta testing with, although I’m sure some of you will be able to identify some of the kit you can see in the background. Didn’t see a WiiM device but I wouldn’t necessarily infer anything negative from that. Must be getting closer now if they’re releasing sneak peeks…

Hi,

Qobuz login failed in wiim ultra, any reason. Pls let me know

If you have an issue like that, it’s best to raise a ticket direct to WiiM via the feedback section in the WiiM Home app when it happens so they can inspect your device logs for clues.

I’d first try clearing the WiiM app cache, or deleting and re-installing it, to see if that helps clear the issue.

I meant if all the other apps are awful it doesn't take much to be better 😃

Big question is still why doesn,t quobuz still haven,t fixed a connect option?
Isn,t that important to them for delevering this option for their customers? I would,t consider subsribing or trying the app for a trailperiod..only with the connect option i would.

Qobuz are a relatively small company with limited development resources - Qobuz Connect will arrive once they’re happy it’s a robust mechanism.
Thanks for you,re reply. Hopefully they can fix this. If its available i,m willing to try.

My main reason for using original Qobuz app. WHA cannot deliver music on the move. And I don't want to deal with multiple apps.

This is not related to the WiiM Ultra. Login is local to the WiiM Home app on your phone.

I perfectly got that, sure enough. ;) This was just my slightly ironic way of expressing that the WiiM Home app is a very good piece of software in my personal view. I mean it. It's not perfect, of course, but I like it a lot.

It's not like they just had to magically "enable" a cast feature. They really and truly have to develop this on their own. This is hard work.

We knows it’s a small company but it should not take 10 years to develop. A serious company would be on it knowing the fact that it’s stiff competition. In business where there many choice, you need to provide exceptional quality at competitive price. This reason I stay on tidal where it gives you either connect or wha.

@harkpabst dont you think @Smartplug has a point here?
It takes time to make it work properly but haven't they had enough time for it?
I don't know just asking..

I’m guessing that Presto Music is also quite small, but they not only have a streaming protocol, but a streaming device, as well as integration with Bluesound.

It's all a matter of how many of their customers asked for such a feature an when. :)

Traditionally, AirPlay (version 1), streamers integrating Qobuz and Windows/Mac desktop users (connecting their PC to their Hi-Fi through USB) have been all they had to worry about.

Has WiiM ever replied to any posts concerning Qobuz Connect I wonder? Do they have it yet for testing? Is it still lurking in Qobuz Labs somewhere not yet ready for trials? Wassup!!

No. It’s clear that Qobuz have NDAs in place with suppliers who may be testing this so we won’t hear anything till Qobuz announce it.

I would not count on this since they been in development for extended period of time and to this day nothing materialized.
