Qobuz Connect gapless playback sometimes does not work properly with my Wiim Pro Plus.
Here is one example:
Pink Floyd
The Dark Side Of The Moon (both 24-96 and 24-192 versions)
Transition between track 2 and 3

Sometimes playback stops after a specific track.
Here is one example:
A.R. Kane
i
Playback stops after track 4

When playing the same albums via Wiim Home App and Lyrion Music Server eveything is O.K.

Moreover, I don’t understand why playback stops if I close the Android Qobuz App.

Idem. La même chose chez moi depuis hier soir.
Same thing at my house since last night.

Did anything change in your setup last night, like device firmware, app update etc? If not, then it may be a glitch on the Qobuz servers. If the issue persists after a day or so and after a power cycle of your router and WiiM, then raise a ticket to WiiM via the more feedback section in the app so they can inspect your logs for clues as to why this is happening.

The gapless playback issue on some albums exists since the beginning of Qobuz Connect.
I hoped that it would be solved, but actually was never solved.
Playback stop after closing the Android Qobuz app initially did not occur, it happened after some wiim pro plus firmware update or wiim home app update or qobuz app update.
I've raised a ticket to Wiim.

Plus aucun problème. Probablement un internet défaillant et/ou un problème chez Qobuz. Merci à Wiim pour le suivi et la prise de contact.
No more problems. Probably a faulty internet and/or a problem with Qobuz. Thanks to Wiim for following up and getting in touch.

I have become extremely frustrated with gapless playback not working with Qobuz Connect and Wiim Pro. I've filled out tickets, and Wiim has gotten in touch with different firmware versions, etc. It still never works! Going back to CDs would be an improvement.

Same thing with my Wiim Pro Plus. It's a pity not being able to use the Qobuz apps.
However, if you use the Wiim Home app or Lyrion Music Server gapless playback should be O.K.

I have not done anything with my physical setup ... just update the firmware to v5.2.725647

....so same here. New Roger Waters album. Play from PC is fine ( few millisecond delay, only noticeable if you really listen for it) But via Wiim Pro Plus into Denon AVC-X3700H running in pre amp mode using Quobuz Connect OR Chromecast. Really bad. Completely ruins it.

I am using a Oneplus Pro 7T as controller on Android 12. Interestingly when I use the Quobuz app then flip into WIIM the WIIM player software is running too. Conflict there maybe? .

As it is doing it on Chromecast too I am minded to think it's probably the WIIM. Never had this before. If I bypass the Denon and go direct from WIIM to power amp I still get the delay

I am on latest none beta firmware on all components. Raised this issue with both Quobuz and Wiim and got the usual back - which frankly I can not be bothered to engage with. Thay have enough to know they have a problem.

No. Both the Qobuz App and the WiiM Home App is just controllers, not players, in this case and the WiiM Home App will always show what is playing on the WiiM, no matter how it is otherwise controlled.

Thanks hgo58. I do appreciate that. Terminology is endless these days. But both controllers are running. So I mentioned it for the following - as an example not a definitive. I am on single user quobuz account. There are two incidences of the Controller running. Admittedly on the same device with same IP address. When you run two incidences on separate devices of Quobuz it refuses to work on one or the other.
Does it see the two here but then note the single device and keep going. Is there a delay caused by this - not a problem when individual tracks but becomes one on gapless? Completely made up but that was my "reason" for mentioning it.
The problem is it still could be the Denon ( and work arounds written in by WIIM and Quobuz) or it could be either Quobuz or the WIIM. I reckon working it out between them will be fun!

You cannot really talk about controllers being running. It just like a remote control unit. They tell the WiiM device what to do and it doesn't matter how many different you use. The connection to the Qobuz server is done by the WiiM and the WiiM is playing, no matter how you control it.

So if there is any difference in the gapless playing, depending on how it is started, it must be because it was started with different options. Are you sure that the Qobuz App is starting it as a Connect and not as Chromecast?

Take your point re "remote control". But Quobuz controls the number or incidences running. Do you have quobuz? Do you not get the same with that album what i am seeing ( just to stick to at least one none variable :-) !)
As sure as I can be re method running. But again tricky to be sure. I select one or the other but no idea what happens in the background.

As per my previous. If quobuz sees two devices running it shuts one off if you have single user account.
I take it it doesnt happen under Tidal then? - go on force yourself - a little bit of pink Floyd/Waters nevr hurt anybody! Much.

The Tidal app can only control one device at the time and I guess it's the same for Qobuz? So if you change connection to another WiiM device, the first one will stop playing. You can close the app or your phone but the Tidal / Qobuz server stille "know" what app instance is controlling the playing.

I can however start a new Tidal app on another device and control another WiiM device in parallel.

Playing the Pink Floyd album I have never noticed any delay, no matter how I started the playing.

Just to be pedantic. You do mean "This is not a drill" by Roger Waters. the "new" one? I just want to be sure. Thanks.

What do you mean by that?
I have connected 4 different devices (tablets and phones) to the same wiim and all 4 can control what's playing.
Edit: aah, and then I reread your post and understood ;)
Maybe I've had one too many rum and cokes tonight.

Chromecast is inherently not gapless. Qobuz Connect should be gapless, but it is not always gapless. Tried to play This is not a drill and found a gap between track 2 and 3. No gap if the same is played via the Wiim Home app.
