No, it doesn’t have the horsepower to support it - it only has a quarter of the ram and half the number of CPU cores of its siblings and you can’t pour a quart into a pint potI can’t see my Wiim Mini on the Qobuz app since the Qobuz Connect update.
Is the Wiim Mini compatible? I can’t find a device compatibility list anywhere.
Can anyone provide a link to any page explaining it’s not compatible? I can’t find anything anywhere.
Strange that it supports Spotify and Tidal Connect but not Qobuz.
Not really - maybe if Qobuz Connect had been available two years ago, it might have been possible to implement it if the Mini’s cpu cores could have supported it, at the expense of later enhancements. It’s been clear for a while that the Mini firmware doesn't have the room to accommodate significant feature enhancements (take squeezelite as an example) hence my comment above re fitting a quart into a pint pot. There’s clearly a limit to what you can do with a $90 puck with limited internal resources…Can anyone provide a link to any page explaining it’s not compatible? I can’t find anything anywhere.

I understand the Mini is a limited device, but storage space, memory, and processing power are pretty cheap these days (actual technical specs for the device don't seem available).
A not-so-MiniPerhaps the time has come for a Mini II![]()
It is precisely its size and compactness that make the Mini so interesting for kitchens, bathrooms, mobile speakers, etc. I think updating the RAM/processor should be easy with roughly the same dimensions.A not-so-Mini![]()
...or Chromecast AudioMake it both more powerful and smaller and call it a WiiM Micro.

Thanks for the response and link. The technical specs of the WiiM Mini and other models are readily accessible - see the table on this webpage https://wiimhome.com/wiimmini/overview
You’ll see it has a quarter of the ram and half the number of cpu cores compared to its siblings. While the Mini is indeed able to run other Connect mechanisms, the simple fact could be that there’s not enough room to accommodate the Qobuz Connect code, slimmed down or not. Had Qobuz Connect been available a few years back, perhaps it could have been squeezed into the Mini at the expense of later enhancements.
