In my house I don't have room for the record player near my stereo set which is connected to my TV. So I want to place my record player across the room and the audio to come out of my stereo set which is also connected to my tv(wired connection). Are there Wiim devices that would allow me to do that wirelessly preferably wifi streaming. I feel like I need two seperate devices for that but I am unsure if WIIM devices connect to each other. The world of HI-FI confuses me. I have polk stereo. And plan on buying a Rega Planar 3 FYI.
If anyone has the expertise and know how to help it would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance
Welcome.
Do you know if your record player (turntable, TT) has line out or phono out? Do you have a phono pre amp?
Have you used the TT before into your amplifier? Did you need to use the Phono In on your amp?
Does your amp have digital inputs, or just analog?
Yes, two wiim devices can do this.
You group them in the wiim app and what plays on the 'parent' of that group plays on all other 'children' in that group.
Which wiims make most sense for you depends on your answers to the above, partly what you want to spend, and partly whether you'd use the wiims for anything other than this TT usage.
One example:
TT line out to wiim pro plus line in.
Wiim mini optical out to amp optical in.
Add the mini to the pro plus in the wiim app.
Whatever* plays on the pro plus will play on the mini too.
*There are one or two exceptions to "whatever", but the pro's line in will.
