I am trying to connect through RCA cables from line out on Wiim pro plus to line in entries in my Onkyo Receiver.
Try on CD, DVD,PC,GAME...entries and no sound.
O haven't try yet on phono in entry on my Onkyo
Should I?

Once i test this next i would like use external better DAC on order to avoid internal Wiim Dac.
Do I?

Hi
First, please check the following:

1) Connect the RCA cable included with the Pro plus to the Pro plus's Line-out (do not confuse this with Line-In)

2) Connect the RCA cable to the CD input on the receiver

3) Switch the Pro plus output to Line-out in the WiiM app

4) Switch the receiver input to CD

5) Set the volume on both the Pro plus and the receiver to the minimum.

6) Play music on the Pro plus.

7) Increase the volume and check if sound is produced.

If there is still no sound, please tell us the model of your receiver. (Sorry, I'm off to bed now, so please look forward to advice from other members.)

Whatever you do, no, don't do this!

Did you use the RCA cable that came with the WiiM Pro Plus? If not, please do so. If yes, can you try a different cable?

The real question, of course, is if there's something wrong with your WiiM Pro Plus or if you just need to find the right configuration. We are not WiiM, we are all members of the WiiM community. We cannot make anything from your WiiM's serial number, but we can help with configuration issues, based on experience.

Having said that, WiiM do monitor this forum (to some degree), of course. But if you want WiiM to look into the state of your device, you should send feedback trough the WiiM Home app (tab "More" >> "Feedback"). You can submit a description of your issue and attach files, but most importantly device logs will be send to WiiM automatically. If there is any device failure, they will be able to identify this.

That doesn't mean you should stop posting to your own thread in the forum, not at all. It's just an additional option. :)

Also, please open the WiiM app and check the device settings screen for your Pro Plus. Is there a purple dot displayed anywhere on the screen?

If, as in this screenshot, a purple dot appears on the audio settings screen, tap 'Optical output resolution'. Then, when you return to the previous screen, the purple dot should disappear. If the dot has vanished, sound should now play correctly.

(This issue occasionally occurs on my Pro.)

Thank for your messages
I have try with different safe cables already.
I am keeping contact too with Wiim gurus.
I hope someone help me to solve this issue.
Wiim goes well with connecting thru spdif optical cable between wiim and Onkyo.

The thing is that i wish to introduce a real good DAC between both to improve sound. And this i have to do it through RCA connectors

When connecting a DAC between the Pro plus and the receiver, do not use the Pro plus's RCA ports. (The Pro plus and DAC must be connected digitally.)

Do you have any other devices that can be connected to the receiver's (and Pro Plus's) RCA ports for testing?

I understand that for avoiding Wiim's Dac i should connect its digital output connection.
Unfortunately i haven't any other device excepting a good Cambridge Audio Dac.
And that's the next test to do for fixing that issue.
Let me try it and i will tell you.

This is not a "should" requirement. You absolutely must use a digital output to circumvent the built-in DAC.

I don't understand what you're trying to do now. An external DAC and either a coacial digital cable or a toslink cable is all you need, if you don't want to use the built-in DAC.
