Remote Control Pro with access to 12 presets (for WiiM: Amp, Amp Pro, Ultra, Pro, Pro Plus, Mini...)

With the remote control we have access to 4 presets buttons. A new Remote Control Pro is necessary (or plus, or ultra). The WiiM Home App has 12 and we need to access them all, it would totally change the WiiM experience with enough music diversity without having to use a phone.

There are many possibilities to access preset 5 to 12:
- Add 2 buttons below the 1, 2, 3 & 4 saying "5-8" and "9-12"
- Add 2 buttons 5 and 6 below the 1, 2, 3 & 4 and implement double click to access 7 to 12
- Add 2 buttons 5 and 6 and a third one for "7-12"
- Double tap on the buttons 1, 2, 3 & 4 to access 5, 6, 7 & 8 and Triple tap on the buttons to access the 4 next (suggested in this post and in this

I just saw the new remote control that came out recently... new design same functions, so disappointing. Let's hope for an extended remote control with 12 presets for later

Happy to report that the new remote now supports double-pressing 1-4 to access presets 5-8 and this feature is reportedly soon to come to the old remote as well. It is not exactly what you suggested, as still there is no access to 9-12 (which would be perfect as with this I could e.g. reserve 1-4 for inputs / settings, 5-8 for favorite albums and 9-12 for favorite radio stations), but anyway great improvement in remote functionality. Maybe at certain point WiiM would also add those 9-12 e.g. via triple presses (which really would not be difficult to use)?

Presets will be increased to 32. (The app is already supported in ver 3.2.4.)

Team also states that remote operation "still considering other options".

It would be quite impossible with the remote layout of just 4 number buttons. I think the best they could do (but probably will not as it could be too difficult to explain to the publics) is giving the access to 20 presets, which would take the following: (i) increasing the number of presets to 50, (ii) resigning from current double tap to presets 5-8 and replacing those with double taps reading as numbers, e.g. 1&1 = 11, 1&2 = 12, 2&4 = 24, etc. So you would have an access to the first four presets from each group of 10. Not very elegant, but I could imagine very good use cases for this - I would e.g. reserve first 10 presets for inputs / setting (of which 1-4 would be the most important for me, and 5-10 would be secondary), next 10 for radio stations (as above - 11-14 would be key stations, 15-20 less important), next 10 for albums, next 10 for playlists, etc.

EDIT: please note that double-taps for presets 5-8 currently only work for Remote 2, but WiiM informed that they are working on implementing this to Remote 1 as well (currently: being tested).

EDIT TO EDIT - now this also works for me on the original remote (requires remote version 54).
