Need to be able to change inputs and control volume without getting up from seat (all other WiiM products have a remote - why not this). Makes it difficult and unusable especially being disabled! Can’t even change inputs or volume from the app!

The Vibelink is not designed to be fed through multiple inputs. It‘s either or.
Also volume control is supposed to happen on upstream devices.
It looks like an integrated amp but really it‘s a power anp with a choice of inputs and a continuous gain setting which you adjust once and then forget.

There is nothing saying only one input to be used. There are 3 inputs present so it makes sense to make use of them. Volume needs changing for each input (non WiiM products on 2 inputs). Even facility to alter things via the app would be useful as it’s difficult getting up to change inputs.

Make of it what you like. Fact is that there is no remote for the Vibelink because it is designed as a power amp.
Maybe it‘s just not the right product for you.
What do you want to connect to the inputs? Perhaps there‘s another route to accomodate your requirements.

All this seems an ideal use case for the WiiM Ultra, which is essentially a preamp with WiiM's streaming platform baked in.
- volume control through the on-board encoder, phone & Bluetooth remote
- has a variety of analog & digital inputs: line, phono, toslink, HDMI
- you can pre-set the gain for the various inputs to level out volume difference between your sources
- it is very likely it'll replace one or more devices in your current setup

The Vibelink is marketed as the companion to the Ultra, although I'm still waiting for a "Vibelink Lite" without the digital inputs and volume control

There is always more than 1 route. I have recently removed a WiiM Amp Ultra and put Ultra and Vibelink Amp in its place. Apple Music is my main go to and have to use a FiiO DMP to get this (brilliant little thing with a brilliant remote). Had run out of inputs on Amp Ultra and thought the Vibelink offered a couple more. Mostly happy with the current set up over previous but just the main issue of having to get up to change inputs and volume - being disabled makes it more of an issue than it should be. Also changing inputs and volume to listen to my Reel to Reel is awkward but have to put up with it. (Too many inputs). Now if WiiM could get Apple Music natively (not via airplay as in pro plus etc) then that would be a winner! Meanwhile I’ll stick to the FiiO DMP and Reel to Reels fed into the Vibelink and put up with having to get up to change inputs and volume. For the rest of the time, the Ultra fed into the Vibelink with the 12v trigger is fine for me.

That’s exactly what I’m using - got the Vibelink for the additional inputs

Why not connect it all to the Ultra and change your inputs and volume from there? That‘s what it‘s made for. It‘s a streamer/preamp.

If you‘re running out of inputs on the Ultra and connect the FiiO to the Vibelink directly you would still have to get up to change the input, but volume can be changeed using the FiiO remote.

I really don‘t understand your volume control problem.

I haven’t got enough inputs for all my equipment. I have to be selective but ends up with Fiio DMP fed into the Vibelink. With the Ultra fed into the amp with the 12v trigger I have set the volume accordingly but when the input is changed to Fiio the volume is not loud enough (with Fiio set to max). Once volume is set to listen to Fiio it’s fine - until I swap inputs again . Ultra trigger on of the Vibelink will not switch inputs back and volume is ear busting until I set it back down again (unless I remember to do that before turning Ultra on). I thought the trigger would deselect the input but it doesn’t. Still with all the issues I’ve found it the best combination it’s just remembering what feeds where and on which input and which device it feeds into - too many units - still it keeps me going. Love the WiiM set up though and the remote makes one hell if a difference were both the presets (if I don’t want to listen to Apple Music - wish they could sort that one out most of all then I could get rid of a few items)

WiiM will not integrate Apple Music in the foreseeable future in my eyes. They don‘t even have Airplay. There must be some kind of major disharmony between the two.

For the rest, if I were you I‘d definitely get a proper integrated amp with enough inputs and a remote and be done with it.

What about replacing the FIFO with a WiiM Pro. It got AirPlay and additional inputs. It can be linked to the Ultra via network, if you prefer.

Then you can control all from the same WiiM Home App.

I want Apple native not AirPlay (don’t want to use my phone ). FiiO DMP fills that void brilliantly. Just need more inputs and a remote!

I have an integrated amp as well (4 line in and 4 digital) with remote. The WiiM set up sort of integrates and runs side by side on another set of speakers. The FiiO DMP gives me the Apple Music I want (with it’s own remote), just the integration into either system is causing issues (which items do I drop - CD , Multi CD, MD, reel to reel 10.5”, reel to reel 7”, cassette, Blu-ray, record deck etc). Already shelved a few items but they may return at some stage - 8 track cartridge, 3 other reel to reels, cocktail audio x30 etc etc. Already got rid of all my Sonos because WiiM beats it easy - mainly for convenience with its remotes. I know it did Apple Music but I don’t want to use my phone! I keep searching for the ideal set up - much to my wife’s annoyance!

You only need your phone to configure the setup. The rest can be done using the WiiM remote.

It however seems to me that the WiiM devices is not what you really need, as they are mostly App based.

The WiiM Ultra has an adjustable volume cap. Lower the volume cap on the WiiM Ultra to get it more in line with the other devices you're feeding into Vibelink. This should help some.

The WiiM set up is exactly what I need and satisfies most of my needs (Apple Music excepted). As you say once set up the phone is free and I can use the WiiM remotes. Which I why I got rid of my Sonos system.
Your 2 sentences do seem to contradict one another though? I’m more than happy with the WiiM set up, (have 12 devices at last count), but like anything, nothing is perfect and there is always room for improvement - and WiiM do seem to listen to customers more than some other companies.

Yes I’ve been playing around with that. Needs fine tuning
Why did I even bother answering?
I feel kind of kidded. You should know your own way.
my issue is that 11 WiiM devices have a remote and one doesn’t! Can’t even do anything in the app. I welcome all comments and try to be helpful myself - thanks for comments etc.

I am will BXJ on this one. WiiM flubbed this one. Who else sells an integrated amplifier in 2026 without a remote control other than niche high end audiophile brands?

The Vibelink Amp uses Bluetooth Low Energy for updating its firmware which makes me wonder if WiiM could add remote control capability through a Vibelink Amp firmware upgrade.

It is NOT an integrated amp but a power amp.
