Screen Options

These virtual VU meters look really nice. Should be everything there on github for WiiM to reproduce it.
They’re not going to produce something like this, especially using python. Not commercially viable, but a fine project for DIY.

One thing to keep in mind with VU-meters is that they were designed for recording.(So you never run them at 100% sensitivity.)

reel use..in input of "ultra"... ( if technically correct)

WiiM would need to ensure no copyrights involved. I “borrowed” them from various places, including PeppyMeter, among others.

Hi
Yes, I can agree with you, but in the end a meter is a meter. They are all a bit the same, I don't think it's difficult to avoid copyright problems.
Obviously you delete any trademark, change the color shade a bit and I think the game is done. ;)
A meter is not the face of a watch from a famous brand.

Is it ok to always display (the same) clock when in standby mode? Or will this have screen burn-in effects eventually?

Current LED LCDs are said to be less prone to burn-in; to prevent LED degradation, it is recommended to lower (darken) the brightness of the screen.

Also, Ultra's colorful clock does not contain any white color, which would help prevent LED degradation.
