They’re not going to produce something like this, especially using python. Not commercially viable, but a fine project for DIY.These virtual VU meters look really nice. Should be everything there on github for WiiM to reproduce it.
One thing to keep in mind with VU-meters is that they were designed for recording.(So you never run them at 100% sensitivity.)
Woow. Very very beautiful meters . It would be a must have on the Ultra’s screen.I know, but they could use the provided PNGs for the VU meters:

HiWiiM would need to ensure no copyrights involved. I “borrowed” them from various places, including PeppyMeter, among others.
Current LED LCDs are said to be less prone to burn-in; to prevent LED degradation, it is recommended to lower (darken) the brightness of the screen. Is it ok to always display (the same) clock when in standby mode? Or will this have screen burn-in effects eventually?
I am as wellI'm missing the setting icon in the display
The settings icon is missing from my display
Yes on that 80’s digitalI think these looks great and would love something like that.
I also think you should let us use different now playing screens for different inputs. So that we could have VU meters for Phono, spectrum analyser for line in, album art for Ethernet and off for HDMI for example.
So now you got the photo frame feature.@WiiM Team The frequency of the changing images in the stand by screen is to often I think. A configuration to select one image for the screen or change the frequency. Also, maybe a feature to upload an image we had (a family picture for example) for the stand by screen would be awesome too.
Luv itSo now you got the photo frame feature.
YeahSo now you got the photo frame feature.
It certainly is!Great to see more choice in the screen options, personally I would like to see the now playing screen with the smaller album art but with font I can read from 3m away.
I don't think that there is another manufacturer that improves and updates their products as asked for by the buyers
Amazing.
Great idea, something I would likely struggle with a little, but I can normally follow instructionsIt certainly is!
But instead of making additions that may or may not suit everyone, making the visualisations a plugin and open for everyone to create would add a ton of content and versatilitie.
Of course it might be harder then I can imagine, either way they are doing great work!
