Hi everyone,

We’re currently developing EQ Import for WiiM devices, supporting formats such as REW EQ files and AutoEQ configurations.
To make this feature compatible with as many real-world use cases as possible, we’d love your help.

📝 What We’re Looking For

If you have used:

  • REW exported EQ files (e.g., TXT format, Filter Export files)
  • AutoEQ-generated EQ settings (e.g., Parametric EQ files, CSV/TXT outputs)
  • Any custom EQ configuration files you normally use
We would greatly appreciate it if you could share a few sample files with us.

📤 How You Can Help

Please upload your EQ files (any formats you usually use) in this post or send them to support@wiimhome.com.
The more samples we can study, the more accurate and user-friendly the EQ import feature will be for everyone.

🔒 Privacy Note

All files will only be used internally for analyzing format structures and ensuring compatibility.
No personal information is required or stored.

🙏 Thank You

Your contributions will directly help us build a more powerful and flexible EQ system — especially for advanced users who rely on REW or AutoEQ for fine-tuned listening.

We truly appreciate your support!

Amazing, thanks so much! I'm very exited about this feature!

@WiiM Team May I ask a few questions related to this upcoming feature?
  1. Will the PEQ file import work in RoomFit as well, or only in EQ? Ideally it would be available in both functions...
  2. Will it be possible to import separate PEQ files for left and right channels when using "L/R" PEQ mode?
  3. Are there any plans to also implement PEQ filter export to file from RoomFit and EQ?
  4. Have you considered contacting John Mulcahy (the author of REW) to add the WiiM PEQ type specification to REW "Equalizer Panel" (link)? This would make it significantly easier to create filters compatible with WiiM SW in REW.
  5. Being able to push the PEQ config to a selected channel of EQ or RoomFit on the desired WiiM device directly from REW via HTTP API would be ideal, of course... :)
Please find attached several REW generated EQ file examples in a few different export formats. Note that some examples use configurations which are intentionally out of the ranges allowed by WiiM PEQ function - perhaps these might be helpful for testing of irregular input.

In addition, here's a few links to loudspeaker correction PEQ presets generated by spinorama.org (many more are available there):
Note that these also include recommended preamp gain value (i.e. to avoid overload in fixed-volume-output cases).

It's been expected for a long time... but not "an emergency" since it can be just entered manually.
It's "accessory".(And honestly...it will only concern a few people)
(It's important to make a clear intellectual distinction between... what concerns room correction... and just raw data like Spinorama's speaker curve etc)

iOS HouseCurve example
I understand the request...
but frankly, when you open your file, you realize it's just a few numbers to enter (max 30)... maybe double if l/r (max 60)...
when we see essential things left unfinished, forgotten, etc.

Hi @dominikz ,

Please check our replies below. We will introduce these enhancements in stages to ensure quality and stability:

  1. PEQ import will be supported in both RoomFit and EQ.
This will be part of our first implementation phase, so users can bring their own PEQ files into both features consistently.
  2. Importing separate left/right PEQ files in L/R mode is a great suggestion.
This requires additional UI and processing logic.
We plan to include this in a later phase after the basic import/export framework is completed.
  3. PEQ import and export will be supported for both RoomFit and EQ.
    • Import will be available in the first phase.
    • Export will follow in a second phase, allowing users to back up or share their filter settings across devices.
  4. We haven’t contacted John Mulcahy before, but we will now.
Adding a WiiM PEQ profile to REW’s Equalizer Panel will make filter creation easier for everyone.
This collaboration will be part of a separate integration phase, depending on REW’s development timeline.
  5. Directly pushing PEQ to a selected channel via REW (HTTP API) is something we will evaluate.
We need to understand the workflow and technical requirements first.
If feasible, this would likely be introduced in a future advanced phase, after import/export and REW compatibility are established.

Thanks so much for the detailed response! It's great to hear a lot of it was already on your radar.
With these features we will be able to backup and restore EQ and RoomFit profiles much more easily, which is IMHO a very important capability.

Regarding item 2. on the list, does this mean that import/export will initially only work with "stereo" type EQ/RoomFit profiles and won't work at all if "L/R" type is selected in WHA? Or it will still work from the start, but with some limitations?

I agree that the feature under 5. is the least important, but it's still nice to see you will consider it for the future! I suspect a lot of the development needed would be on REW side, however.
