Short unwanted trigger signal when switching off TV

The trigger function of my Ultra works fine, it automatically switches off the connected Amp after 5 minutes off standby time.

However, if I turn off my TV after the 5 minutes of standby time the Ultra switches on the Amp for two seconds and switches it off again.

It is not a big problem for me but quickly switching the Amp on and off is not needed and should be avoided if possible.

Did anyone else experience the same pattern?

I have not yet noticed this in my case, only running the WiiM Ultra since last week.
My amplifier (Rotel RB-06) can clearly be heard turning on with the relay, so I don't think my Ultra has this issue.

Maybe it could also be an issue with your tv?

Which amplifier are you using btw? :)

I am not sure if it is a problem of the TV. I do not understand why the Ultra switches the Amp on for a second when I switch the TV off while the Ultra is in standby.

I have an NC252MP Amp with an Audiophonics trigger adapter.

Here is a video of this situation happening:

Okay now I think I understand correctly.

I tried the same test with my TV.
- Paused playback on tv
- WiiM goes into standby mode (screen off & amplifier off)
- I manually turn off my tv
- WiiM briefly shows the standby clock again, but my amplifier doesn't power on shortly like yours

The only difference I noticed is that your Ultra also received a volume change or volume mute command. Mine doesn't show the volume level. I really think it is caused by something that's sent by your TV right before it turns off.

My TV is a cheap LG smart tv from a few years ago.

Some option to turn on delay for triggering 12v would do the trick - if there is a turn off signal during the buffer time it could just shut off.

I will take a look in the next days if my TV (7 year old Sony with Android OS) has any option that might be the culprit of this behavior.

Try to see if changing the TV CEC settings on the WiiM will change the behaviour. Latest firmware included an update to the HDMI CEC handling that may have changed how the trigger works.
