some songs only produced a hissing sound

Hi,

I have been using Wiim Pro for over a year. This morning, I used ROON and selected WIIM as the source (coax). However, some songs only produced a hissing sound(no music), while others played perfectly fine.

Interestingly, when I used my computer as the source (selected in ROON), every song played without issues, indicating that the problem isn't with the DAC or AMP.

I rebooted the Wiim, but the issue persists. Do you have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Check the coax resolution in the app and go thru the test sounds to see if it’s a resolution issue. Also try a different coax cable if you can, or indeed try the WiiM’s optical output of that’s an option to further isolate the issue.

I try WiiM’s optical output, and everything is fine. And then I reconnect coax cable, no issue now. I think I met some bugs?

Maybe the coax cable had worked slightly loose or had some oxidisation on the connection? Good that it seems to have resolved itself
