It seems this is a straight forward need, but eluding me for a good option.
1. Desired outcome - Use Apple Remote / Alexa to mute ALL audio
2. Play TV out of both the Sonos Soundbar AND Wiim Ultra connected wired house speakers.
3. Mostly for sporting events to listen wherever I am in the house, garage or patio
Existing equipment:
1. Sony Bravia TV new
2. AppleTV
3 SONOS Soundbar
4. Wiim Ultra connected to Fosi Audio for the wired speakers
5. Alexa
6. Logitech Harmony Hub.. obsolete
What I can Do currently:

Wiim works great for the music side of the house.
I can play music in all of the rooms
I can play TV in all of the rooms if I use HDMI Arc port or Optical port from the Wiim to the Sony TV
If I use the HDMI Arc port for the Wiim then I lose out on the SONOS connection and CEC control to mute during commercials using Apple Remote to the SONOS. I tried Airplay with SONOS as well, no Airplay on Wiim Ultra.
Current Setup trying to improve:

I currently have the Wiim on HDMI Arc to the Sony TV and the SONOS connected to the Wiim Optical Out port using the SONOS optical adapter and using the Wiim App can switch between the two outputs and mutes with the Apple Remote or Alexa.
BUT…. I cannot play both at the same time and have mute control, and so Wiim support also told me, which is actually an incorrect answer.
I did try using SONOS on Arc and Wiim on Optical to the TV optical port and both play the TV sound.. BUT, the Apple Remote can only mute the Arc port… we use Alexa to mute the sound during commercials. So the Wiim on Optical still plays so you need another remote or use the Wiim App.
Support did say I could try an HDMI extractor, assuming a OREI or Kinivo type device, but they didn’t elaborate.
The Goal !

Be able to hear both SONOS speakers wherever they are AND Wiim Ultra connected speakers and still be able to mute them with the Apple Remote via CEC or Alexa.
Has anyone got a good solution for TV audio playing at the same time on SONOS and Wiim Ultra AND control audio muting?
