Spotify streaming service questions.

I'm doing a user experience project on Spotify and would like to identify problems and features that would like to be added or improved on to make Spotify's user experience better. As well as wanting to gain an understanding of why Spotify is used over other music streaming products.

It would be great if you could please answer these 4 questions:

1. If you use Spotify as your primary music streaming service, why do you prefer it over Apple Music, YouTube Music or any other music streaming service?
2. What problems do you have with Spotify at the moment in regards to your user experience using the app?
3. What would you improve on with the current features or user interface?
4. What features would you want to be added to further improve your user experience?

1. I did not try anything else…
2. Actually, less and less! Meanwhile the songs that I hided in the mix lists, are accepted as hided - they don’t play !
What I find annoying is, that in the 6 mixed list, songs are repeated in similar versions on different labels… also the mix lists are overlapping each other from a genre point of view.
3. For me the user interface is good. What I don’t like is, if it changes all the time. It is getting better I guess. For a certain time it was really bad in this regard…
4. Fading in and out auf mixed songs…

I would like to have integration into the Wiim App like there is with Amazon Music (for example).
You can search directly into Amazon Music library directly from the Wiim App, with Sopotify not, you have to search into the Spotify app, outside from Wiim, then stream.

I would like to have an app that is simply a "collection of records" and not a "collection of play list".
I prefer to listen to a complete record (full disk) of an author/group than to receive hundreds of suggestions and proposals for playlists...

If Spotify supported this I am sure WiiM would implement it. Unfortunately Spotify don't have the needed public API.

You can make your own web app to access Spotify but it looks like this is not available for integration into an app like the WiiM Home App.
