Streaming Services in Windows Application

I cannot believe that in 2024 we still cannot connect to any of the streaming services from within the Windows App. It works great in Android (and I am assuming Apple) so I am not sure why this functionality is not available for Windows yet.

The Windows app is beta software. Mobile apps for iOS and Android are getting top priority from WiiM, following what the majority of users is after.

Because it's 2024, desktop Windows is a secondary platform. Times are a changing

IK it is beta, it has been that way for waaaay to long and if they are not going to provide proper support and finish it, then it may make more sense to just drop it completely.

that's probably not it - because tidal has integrated with, for example, DJ apps on windows and mac for AGES...

could be a chicken/egg situation, but agreed - there are many more people who care about the mobile/touch experience than desktop...

The API for this is not a Windows API it is a REST API so WiiM already has access to that API otherwise their iOS or Android apps wouldn't work (yes they are the same calls). So all they would have to do is translate what they get to the Windows interface to provide the same functionality.

New user here. I have 6 WiiM "zones" designed into our new house. I would much rather use one central desktop to set them up for parties. The phone app is fine for individual zones but kind of a hassle to manage with the multiple zone approach WiiM has designed. Bring on the streaming services for the Windows app!

Get a tablet I wouldn’t hold my breath waiting for the Windows app catching up on the mobile/tablet app
