The competition doesn't sleep

Okay, so here's how it goes with the S3...

When left in HDMI input, the S3 will turn on and turn off on its own based on signals from ARC/CEC. This is fantastic, and already beats Eversolo completely. Volume control via CEC also works fine.
This is how it should be. It's not how WiiM is working. It will turn on no matter what input is currently selected. Hopefully this will change.
When left in a different input, such as AirPlay, the S3 ignores all signals from ARC/CEC. This is a satisfactory arrangement.
This is how the current WiiM HDMI beta firmware work with a special setting.
For many people, the ARC functionality is something they only want to use occasionally, and this prevents ARC signals from being overly possessive of the S3 (some WiiM Ultra owners complain about this, although there is a switch to disable CEC takeover when other inputs are selected).
The default WiiM firmware don't have this option yet.
If the TV is being watched but another input is in use (such as AirPlay) and the S3 is switched back to HDMI input, it will pick back up on the ARC audio and function fine including volume control and power control.
Again, this only works on WiiM beta version.

So the S3 developers seams to have got it right. I hope @WiiM Team will study and learn

This is your use case / perspective.
Mine is how it currently works. I want the WiiM to be taken over by ARC as soon and whenever I switch on the TV without having to mingle with any input settings.
But the way I understand it both will be possible with the new FW.

Fosi have same AKM dac as the Pro Plus... but just OPA1612 ( dual.. balanced output)(It costs them almost nothing). .. (possibility of fitting opa1611 "single " on the pro Plus to replace the 5534s)
(Simply listing two or three components doesn't demonstrate the quality or the care taken in the design of these output stages... that would be too easy... especially since the old 553* remains an amazing op-amp, still used professionally despite being over.... 45 years old! 1979!...)
