The Discman is back!

This is great news for all CD enthusiasts like myself which are screaming for a quality, affordable CD player or Transport, even though at US $179 its not "crazy cheap".. can´t find further info on the Fiio site, so this must be very last minute. On another thread (and forum) it seems like Fosi was working on one as well.

Overpriced, and no remote 😜

Yeah, definitely a small remote would be useful. Its price went down though. This Fiio is US $139 con Amazon. After checking the very little options out there, Shangling, Moondrop, this seems to be the best price/value option so far.

Well, the device seems to be primarily a mobile CD player "Discman" (with battery and headphone amplifier), with additional options such as a proper connection to the stationary system, Bluetooth and CD ripping.
For this range of functions and the fact that there are no comparable devices, I don't think the device is overpriced at all. A comparison with simple CD drives is flawed. And in my opinion a remote control doesn't really fit into the concept either.

I find the concept of the DM13 very convincing and will probably get it as a way to easily play CDs on headphones and various systems in the house.
Even though streaming has largely replaced CDs for me, I still have a few CDs in the house that I will keep.
