Sometimes on Tidal; ( only installed on Wiim Ultra and the Wiim Android App, no dedicated Tidal App installed)

When listening to a High Rez playlist, or High Rez Tidal album: Sometimes got a message when starting a track: 'This item is not available for streaming'

Then the Ultra hangs.
Have to reboot the Ultra to fix it.

Its not consequent all High Rez items, but random, mostly the first song of a playlist.

I do have a Fioo K7 external DAC attached, Coax, for headphones listening.

Its a minor issue, not that annoying, that said:

Anyone the same issue, or has this been discussed before? If so, i am sorry..

Thanks for any input.

Why don't try the Tidal app and its feature connect? Maybe it works and surely it has much more features and more tailored suggestion than third party apps.

Hi Sake,

This issue will be fixed promptly in the next firmware update.

Mmm interesting..
I try to Install as less apps as possible on my Android phone. So, when purchached the Wiim Ultra, Tidal is natively build in with the Wiim App, is that correct?

So, at first impression i thought its not needed installing the 'Tidal App'.

I am not aware of any benefits installing the Tidal app, but off course, will give it a try, thanks for the suggestion merifon 👍

I.e. music suggestions on Tidal is much less than ie Spotify i think.

That was the case right after the switch to Tidal a few years ago. In the meantime, however, very good suggestions are being made - even outside from the mainstream

I am not aware of any benefits installing the Tidal app,
The main reason I use the Tidal app in preference to the wiim app is that the Tidal app has the 'like/heart' icon on the main screen, so I can easily see whether I have already liked a song without having to go to another screen.
Even though wiim now support Daily Discovery and I can play it with a single remote press, I still often find myself using Tidal directly 'cos of this.

I'm hoping wiim will add the Like icon to their main now playing screen one day; I'm sure the ticket will eventually float to the top.
Bubbleupnp has it there, and we all know wiim could be better than bubble if they wanted to. ;)

Third party interfaces like WiiM, Bluos or others are limited by the APIs provided by streaming services that are usually more interested in pushing their own apps. As for Tidal, genuine app has better and more relevant suggestions, a better interface, manage lyrics and provide information about songs and artists.
Spotify acts differently, since it uses always its own interface.
Other services like Qobuz, have already poor native interface, so there isn't big difference between native or third parties.
