I'm pretty sure it's glued on, judging b the only disassembly video that's been posted so far. I didn't try to take my own unit apart.
I suspect that you're probably in need of a replacement unit, but I cannot speak for the reseller, of course.
The Ultra's case isn't made from a single piece. That's pretty much normal. Why on earth would WiiM glue the box together?
Pardon me?What do they just toss malfunctioning units and send out new replacement? Odd?

A good bonding really needs no clips, let alone screws.Okay? Many tech boxes/cases are made from multiple pieces across mfgs but not many just glue them together. They should and often have clips and/or hw/screws holding them together.
This might be a bit of a misunderstanding. The top is not intended to be removable for repairs. Maintenance is performed by removing the bottom plate instead, which is screwed and clipped on.Well, I mean to say more precisely if the box can't be opened in normal fashion and one must tear it open, then why spend the effort because you'll never get it back to looking the same so then they toss it and just replace with new.
Again, is this thing really glued-up? So if it ever breaks in the future after warranty period I won't be able to crack it open easily to try and repair?

Thank you, makes sense.I have removed the bottom plate of the Ultra to have a look inside. At least I could not find any screws to remove the aluminium top plate.
The aluminium case on the sides and the plastic parts inside are held in place by clips. Presumably, the aluminium case on the side can't be removed without removing the top plate.
I do not know how the resin parts and the top panel are glued together, but I thought it highly likely that they are fixed in several places with glue or clips.
Nevertheless, the internal circuit board, screen, knobs and other parts can be removed from the bottom, so with knowledge it is possible to repair the unit to some extent.
Ah okay I see and agree. Totally was just thinking this thing could just be all glued up LOL.A good bonding really needs no clips, let alone screws.
