Track rewind

Would be possible to look into a fix for this.
If I want to play a track from the beginning, it skips back to the track before.
In case of not being able to explain myself properly, attached a screenshot.

So you plan to make WHA work the same way as native apps?

If so, I am concerned that it may not work properly with Amazon music, for example, due to the high latency. Currently, Spotify connect and Alexa Cast playback works the same as native apps when controlled by the WHA controller, but the delay often causes problems. (I can't go back to the previous track after two consecutive taps.)

Maybe many other applications works by double pressing rewind but this doesn't always work due to delays. The current WiiM functionality is the most logical and will always work (rew+fwr to go to start of track). Please don't change something that works.

From a bird's eye view, it is certainly the most reasonable thing to do. However, I believe that sometimes there are wrong or outdated conventions.

In my opinion, one of the attractions of WHA is its ability to offer unique features not available in native apps.

Focusing only on "return to previous track" the WHA controller may be an innovation that takes streamer delays into account. (At least for some users.)

Having said that, all I can do is trust the team and wait.

Just one more thing to add: in many streaming apps, we can simply swipe the controller left or right to move to the previous or next track.
However, this is not possible with WHA.

This is something to consider as well.

Hello company WIIM,
It will be great, if you can update the software (04.09.2025)
I have bought an WIIM Ultra (02.09.2025) and have also this problem with fast forward and rewind. (vorwärts und zurückspulen).

On the WIIM App I can go to the song position but the music is not playing correct ? (Tested with Stream and USB)
Proposal: WIIM APP : Add a buffer or ? ,that this is possible in the future.
Remote control: Press the next song button a longer time and the song will fast forward or
Press the last song button a longer time and the song will fast rewind.
Reference: CD player, Tape players , etc. handling

P.S. Complete Song's forward and backward is working fine.

Can this not be done like it is done in the Apple Music app?
Pressing skip back takes you back to the start of the current track, but if pressed twice in quick succession it takes you to the previous track.

Literally any normal CD/LD/BRD player, iPod/DAP, or any such thing that my children are too young to ever remember functions this way. The WiiM is actually abnormal in this respect. I 100% agree with Quarry on this.

This was from December 2024, now it is September 25. I thought it would have been implemented within a month, as in 30 days or less. But clearly the message states within the month - but not which month or year.
