Have you tried to turn the Alexa Brief Mode on/off in the Alexa app?

Not really in my experience - I think I and others came to the conclusion that it gives the device time to buffer the first track so you don't complain about the few seconds delay before the music actually starts...

Your probably right, but it’s can be pretty annoying to ask for something to play and have Alexa blurt out at the top of her lungs the response. At least a volume adjustment.

It’s always been that way with echo devices too. If it’s a regular playlist, you can try adding it to an Alexa routine - as I recall, it doesn’t announce what it’s about to play there.
