Ultra album art bug when following in a speaker group

Posting here because I’m running 5.2.807549 (beta) firmware.

I bought an additional WiiM Pro streamer today in hopes of improving the reliability and synchronization of a 2-node speaker group of overlapping zones in a high ceiling room with a loft. It was previously ‘mastered’ by my ultra on the main floor with a mini in the loft.

When I swapped the mini for a pro connected via Ethernet, I tried making the Pro the group master and sending it an AirPlay stream. Both devices played the stream in good sync, and I was pleased to see the album art on the Ultra’s screen, but then I noticed the art was from the first song that was playing when I connected the stream to the WiiM Pro. The song title and text data referred to the currently playing song, but the image was stuck on the first image received in the session.

I rebooted the Ultra and tried again. The image again remained stuck on the first track’s whereas the text updated.

Ultra screen with Mark Knopfler Album art and J.J. Cale song info:

Taken at the same time, here’s the WiiM Apple TV app with the same song info and the J.J. Cale album art (and lyrics! very cool trick):

You can also see the stuck image on the ultra’s screen at the lower left.

This has been mentioned before, but as a non-apple user I didn't pay too much attention to it to recall what, if anything, followed from it being reported. :)
You might find more by searching, or might need to wait for the rest of the world to wake up.

Edit, here's a post on the same, and it's over a year old!

I just reported the bug that I would categorize as "ugly" rather than impactful. I'll not be using the Ultra + Pro group in this fashion as the Ultra can participate in AirPlay as needed anyway via an HDMI-attached Apple TV 4K (via a 'smart monitor's ARC of course).

My main goal is configuring two overlapping zones of a loft apartment with uniform good sound - perfectly synchronized (hence the Ultra and the Pro). So far, so good. I had been using the Ultra with a Mini, but even with nearly a second of Group Delay on the Ultra's HDMI input, the Mini would drift out of sync and make an audible sync adjustment stutter. I read about 'low latency mode' and figured the Pro upgrade would help, given it's Ethernet port I'm able to use and its memory/CPU advantages.

Yeah, I figured this was a lingering bug rather than something new in BETA code.

Cheers.
