Way back in June I was upgraded to firmware version 5.2.719053 (build date 6 June) to resolve an issue with casting from Mixcloud. Since that time I have not received any of the announced Firmware updates. Am I in effect stuck on some unofficial beta for the foreseeable future? It would be nice to know!

In the Device Info screen you could try Join Beta Testing to force one of those to be installed, then leave that beta which should result in the latest public firmware being installed.
This would almost certainly mean that you won't be able to go back to your current version. Well, not without support's help.
And if the above doesn't work, send feedback to WiiM through the WiiM Home app and ask for being removed from the list for this particular firmware. Your device logs will be send along, so WiiM will know whic UUID or MAC address to remove.

Thanks for the replies. In the end I decided to contact WiiM via the app and received the following reply:
"The Chromecast issue with the Mixcloud app still needs to be resolved by Google and Mixcloud. At this time, the old SDK firmware cannot support additional features due to flash size limitations. "
So at least I know that if I want to listen to Mixcloud via Goggle Cast, I'm stuck on my current firmware.
