Unable to access my music library in "Legacy" mode since "Advanced" mode added

I'm sure the bookmarks would fail to play if it were a WMP problem, but just to rule it out try connecting to WMP using the mconnect lite app.

If mconnect works then it's over to WiiM I'm afraid.

I've never really liked all-in-one software that attempts to cover every base. Yes it's convenient, but there are often far better alternatives.

I downloaded mconnect lite. I don't even see a way on that to access my music library. But I agree that bookmarks would not work if it were a WMP issue. I already contacted WiiM, they seem to have some ideas so I'll see what they say, I guess.

It only works with certain servers e.g. WMP, Emby.
That fully explains it.

I still just use the simple Synology Media Server, so there's no such thing as advanced or legacy mode. I did not find anything in the free version of MinimServer that's missing from the Synology server.

I prefer MusicBee for everything related to ripping, conversion and management of my collection, so I understand very well if people want to stick with what they are used to and what has served them well in the past.

It also means that I have nothing else to add to this particular subject, unfortunately.

I got mconnect lite to dispslayl the name of my music library. When I select it,the screen clearly shows how many albums, tracks, etc. I have so I know it is recognizing it. But when I click on Folders or any of the other choices in the "Music" screen, I get the same blank screen as with WMP. So it is obviously a problem with WiiM and the app. Will let them know this.
