This is a very interesting product.

It appears to be able to control WiiM from Alexa in conjunction with a smart hub. It appears that one of these can control five WiiM devices.

I thought it could be linked to a third-party smart hub, from which it could be controlled by Alexa. I could be wrong..

I think that local hub would need to have a comprehensive Alexa skill that dealt with all the appropriate control commands. Alexa would communicate via the skill to that hub which in turn would interface with the relevant devices on your local network, in the case of WiiM via the Linkplay api commands. I don’t see any mention of such a skill.

I dare say though that local voice control might be possible via a device such as the one in Home assistant, or the Home assistant Alexa interface might help.

Aaah, you are talking very hard

My SwitchBot hub can control its own Bluetooth device with Alexa. E.g., the buttons on that device can be registered to a scene and controlled by the Alexa routine. (Sure there is a SwitchBot skill.)

Perhaps it uses SwitchBot's internal api or something, and if WiiM creates a hub, can it use WiiM's api to do the same?

Or, as you mentioned earlier, would you have full control of the WiiM device if had the WiiM skills?
