USB vs Coaxial vs Optical

Hi all,

For my set, ‘Wiim Ultra > Topping D70 Opto’, would it be best to use USB or Coaxil / Optical?

I presume USB (but subjective) but I would I would ask..

I have personally found USB to work flawlessly, whereas I had signal integrity issues (mid-track pops/noises) with both, optical and coax S/PDIF outputs. It was not a problem with the inputs on my DAC because inserting a USB DDC after the WiiM and then using either optical or coax S/PDIF outputs from the DDC to the DAC eliminated the problem, so I specifically blame the those two outputs on the WiiM Ultra. I also ruled out cables because I rolled numerous completely different optical as well as coax cables to no avail.

If you have Superman or a bats level of hearing go for USB. Normal human hearing? You won’t hear a difference. Go with what’s most convenient for you and enjoy the music.
