The user manuals are useless marketing fluff. Either put a QR code on the back of the unit and provide the information online or do a better job of writing the manual. The WiiM app does quite a good job of guiding a new user through the process of adding a new device, but it should have a test tone feature so you can check everything is working. It would be good idea to tell a new user what to do next - i.e. use browse to find a streaming service like Spotify and then link it to the device. As it is, at the end of add a new device you are left with a device that say no music selected. The group facility similarly plays the guessing game in terms of how it works - great for people who like puzzles, but not good for me.

Have you had a look at the extensive help pages?

Hey @wpqs , I've shared your feedback with the teams that are responsible for setup and documentation and they agree that there's more we can do to make it easier on people new to WiiM to help educate them and get music playing fast. They'll be working on more things to improve this for people in the future. Thanks for sharing!

Wiim is a zillion times better at setup & user info than almost all other brands. It's that simple. 👍😁

Please open the WiiM Home App (WHA). Open the More tab. Open User manual.

You should get what you need there.

Good point - I was pleasantly surprised to see that the updated Ultra manual for example now has an 80+pp manual, and the WiiM Home app manual is similarly nearly 50pp long. 130pp is a lot for marketing fluff 🤣

And re a test tone, there is one when you choose the digital output resolution
