Using a WiiM Mini or WiiM Ultra over optical into a Vibelink Amp

They will not learn or remember anything from corrections and information from its users. Your corrected info will not benefit others. It just goes to waste.
yeah, I often get that impression too :(

What were your prompts to Gemini, what did you ask precisely? Did you feed it a copy of the text (what-hifi article) or just dumped the link in it or otherwise? I'm really impressed by its explanations/conclusions.
I've dumped the link. My question is very simple.

"Verify whether the WiiM amp ultra review on this page is scientifically valid. Point out any errors if found."

Agree.

When I ask Gemini to assist with something, I instruct it to create a template summarizing the instructions and points to note beforehand, and save it as a "Custom instruction." Then, before starting the task, I call up that template. This approach can lead to some improvement. However, Gemini tends to become overly fixated on custom instructions once created, trying to follow them even in unrelated chats. It's like a young child.

I must anticipate what mistakes Gemini might make and get ahead of them.😅🤷

You have to remember that the hifi press, like any reviewing magazine of any product range, is supported by advertising revenue

They simply cannot afford to offend the companies paying them to advertise their products, hence they do not heavily criticise any product, irrespective of price, or give strong praise to a lower priced product over an expensive one.

They cannot afford to bite the hand that feeds them.

Bit like hifi salesmen - they'd rather sell you a Moon or Hifi Rose streamer than a WiiM so feel duty bound to write Wiim streamers off as "poor transports". They don't realise (or admit) that they're bad mouthing the potentially expensive DAC/amp you're feeding the streamer into as being unable to perform as engineered and able to overcome any jitter, isolation or electrical issues thrown at it...
